How it works

These five Impact-Base designs have proven to be suitable for 'compaction testing' a wide range of surface materials and conditions. However, if your application requires a special Impact-Base design, tell us about it and we'll make & supply.

i) - Footballer’s boot: view
> the surface contact area of the Impact Base equates to the sole of a size 10 boot – testing / recording depth of penetration on the playing surface advises hardness.

ii) - Horse’s hoof: view
> the Impact Base design is a typical horse-shoe - test & record the condition of all racetrack types and equestrian courses – examples of Racetrack tests are on the web.

iii) - Playground soft-fall: view
> when buying particulate soft-fall and during its life, test and confirm the material meets the AS/NZ4422:1996 Standard for particulate impact severity.

iv) - Cricket ball: Photo soon
> a hemi-spherical form simulating a regulation cricket ball projects from the Impact Base – forget about pushing keys into the pitch!

v) - Road-base construction: view
> a 50mm dia. shaft projects from the Impact Base - testing compaction at any point on any construction site immediately provides accurate data re site compaction.
